| Asia Aims For America With BoA |
South Korean pop star BoA is about to make a serious attempt at the US market. 21-year old BoA is preparing for the release of her first American album 'Look Who's Talking' early in 2009.
Prior to that, she will head to the USA next month for a series of high-profile promo gigs including a performance from MTV Studios in New York on December 3rd that will be broadcast live onto the big screen at Times Square. Later in the week, she will head to California to play at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball concert.
BoA has finished recording her next album with producer Brian Kennedy, the man behind Rihanna and Fergie. The young star is well versed in English and records in English, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin. Her debut album 'ID: Peace B' was released in 2000 when she was just 13 years old.
In September this year, BoA's label SM Entertainment opened an American subsidiary and will release the singer via the label in America. A remix of her current single 'Eat You Up' features rapper Flo Rida. A success for BoA in the US would be a huge win for music from the Asian region.
The previous major attempt for an Asian pop star to crack America was with Korea's Rain last year. Unfortunately, Rain failed to understand he wasn't the star in America that he was in Asia and destroyed his impact with numerous last minute cancellations. Rain was also being introduced to the US via the movie 'Speed Racer'. Neither worked.
BoA stands a better chance as she has Americanised her sound by recording her first English album as her American debut. BoA will be an act to watch in 2009.

| BoA's MTV Live in NYC - Performance of New Songs |
On December 3, 2008, BoA will be performing at the "MTV World Presents : BoA Live in New York" at Time Square. As this is a special show dedicated to BoA, it will be held at the TRL(Total Request Live) Studio - a stage all major stars walk through at least once in their career - from 11am to 3pm.
This program will not only feature her live performances but will also present BoA's history as singer and her current plans and commitments in an interview style. BoA will be performing her new hit song 'Eat You Up' as well as a song titled 'Look Who's Talking' which will be included in her first album scheduled to release early next year.
'BoA Live in New York' will broadcast across the nation as well as on the massive screen out in Time Square where thousands of pedestrians walk by every day.
The show will broadcast on TV in mid December through MTV, MTV Iggy, and MTV U in the US, Korea, Japan, Austrailia, and the UK.

| BoA Models for "Audio Technica" in Japan |
BoA has signed a contract to model for a Japanese audio firm "Audio Technica" which manufactures sound related devices such as headphones and microphones. The new commercial features BoA's remake of her 2004 Christmas hit, Merry Chri. "I felt that the first version lacked emotion which makes the song seem a bit immature. I sang this remake so that it involved a lot more emotion to make the song feel complete," stated BoA, showing her growth as a singer.
BoA was excited to receive a request to advertise for the company as she had already been using their headphones in her everyday life. "I felt really comfortable making this commercial because it features me singing my own song Merry Chri," BoA said smiling.

| 2nd Greatest Hits Compilation Album to be Released |
After the successful release of her 1st compilation album "Best of Soul" in 2005 which sold 1.3 million copies around the world, BoA will be releasing her 2nd compilation album titled "SPECIAL BEST ALBUM." It will include remakes of her old songs such as Merry Chri New Best Album Version and brand new songs as well. This album is scheduled to release on spring of 2009.

| 'Eat You Up' Broadcasted on Radio Stations Across the US |
BoA's song 'Eat You Up' was broadcasted on popular radio stations across the United States on November 17th. KIIS FM, the largest radio station in Los Angeles and hosted by popular icon Ryan Seacrest, who runs shows such as American Idol. One of the hosts named JoJo talked about BoA's debut and career and described her as an Asian pop princess. In the midst of Eat You Up advertisements, Jojo stated that BoA will be attending the Jingle Ball - an annual concert produced on by KIIS FM staged at various venues around southern California including the Shrine Auditorium and Staples Center in Los Angeles,and the Honda Center in Anaheim.
On the east coast, WHTZ (Z100), a huge radio station based in New York with 5 million listeners weekly, also played Eat You Up and its advertisements. It is expected that the song will be played in several different major radio stations across the nation in the coming weeks.

In a recent statistics report of web surfers around the world released by global search engine Google in OECD countries (the 30 most developed countries in the world), BoA was selected as the most searched keyword for a person from South Korea. Other keywords that represented Korea was Samsung, LG, Hyundai motors, and other conglomerates, Starcraft, Pottery, Kimchi, Taekwondo, and Personal Computers. The most popular keyword for England was soccer star David Beckham.

BoA Enlists U.S. Hitmakers for English Debut
Korean pop star BoA is gearing up for her U.S. launch beginning with a move to the West Coast. The singer, who recently relocated to Los Angeles, is assembling an all-star team of producers and songwriters for her English-language debut album, scheduled for release next year.
Producers/songwriters Brian Kennedy (Rihanna's 'Disturbia') and Sean Garrett (Beyonce's 'Ring the Alarm') are already on board, while a remix to 'Eat You Up' featuring Flo Rida has been recorded and will be released in the coming month. The Bloodshy & Avant-produced first single is available now on iTunes.
BoA celebrated her 22nd birthday last week with a packed event at Los Angeles hotspot Zune LA.
