BoA to Star in Youtube Live Concert & Both Eat You Up MVs Used
BoA to Star in Youtube Live Concert BoA will be singing at "Youtube Live" an upcoming worldwide event hosted by Youtube. A concert hosted for Youtube users around the world, two seperate concerts in San Francisco and Tokyo will be held. BoA, the main star of the event, will be the MC which will connect the two concerts through Youtube.
Held from 9AM to 8:30 PM Korea Time, singers and musicians such as Akon, Will.I.AM, Esmee Denters will be starting the concert at the San Francisco Port Main Center. Then from 3 to 8:30 pm, Japanese artists such as BLUE MAN GROUP, KREVA will be ending the concert at the Tokyo Shinkiba Studio. BoA will be the first to perform in Japan, showing the world who she is. To commemorate this event, BoA opened her own Youtube channel.
SM clarified today that they will be using both versions of the Eat You Up music video to promote BoA. However, with BoA's Official site only allowing the Korean version to watch, it seems that Cha Eun Taek's version will be used the most for promotion purposes.
Diane Martel's US PV of Eat You Up Scrapped - Korean Version Used
BoA's US Version of her music video "Eat You Up" was released yesterday by SM Entertainment. This version, which was directed by so called famous director, Diane Martel received very negative reviews on Youtube and many other video sharing sites. Thus, it seems SM Entertainment decided not to use this after a days worth of bad comments. Today, BoAAmerica.com changed the Korean version of the music video as the (A) version. The only full music video posted on this site is the Korean version while the American version remains only as a teaser. Also, the 1 minute introduction which was previously on the American version of the mv to introduce BoA to the US Market was pasted in front of the Korean version. Hence, this helps us conclude that SM Entertainment scrapped the American version of the MV once and for all to ensure BoA's success in the US. Great news for BoA because she still has a fighting chance with Cha Eun Taek directed Korean music video!

According to recent news, the release of BoA's new song "Eat You Up" will be delayed to October 21st. With eleven extra days, SM hopes to refine its promotion for BoA's debut in the US.
On the 21st, BoA's "Eat You Up" will be available for purchase on 300 online stores and mobile phone stores from 30 different countries which include the US, Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, UK, France, Italy, Australia and many more! In the US they will be sold on iTunes, Amazon, My Space, AOL, and E-music. Ringtones will also go on sale in mobile phone stores for AT&T, T-Mobile and many more!

BoA Pounces on U.S. Market Japanese, American, Chinese and Korean press gathered at the Imperial Palace Hotel yesterday in Seoul to get the latest on BoA's entry into the U.S. music market.
BoA's Lee Soo-man - founder and producer of her Korean label S.M. Entertainment - and her U.S.-based music publishing agent, choreographer and project manager showed up to clue the press in on the diva's upcoming U.S. single and plans for the future. BoA immediately stunned reporters by walking in with a cast on her left arm.
"I wanted to look put together and pretty today," the 21-year old singer explained at the press conference. "But I fell."
The accident happened on Tuesday night after BoA and her team finished preparing for the press conference at S.M. Entertainment headquarters. On her way out, she fell down the stairs and injured herself.BoA's doctors say she will fully recover within six weeks. And her injury will not affect her work schedule. Still upbeat despite the cast on her arm, BoA was eager to talk about her first U.S. single and her upcoming full-length album. The single, titled "Eat You Up," is slated for release via the internet on Oct. 7 along with two music videos. The album will be hitting store shelves in America next year. "In reality, we started to talk about going into the American market two or three years ago," BoA confessed. "It was very hard preparing for this in secret."
S.M. Entertainment chairman Lee Soo-man, who will be promoting BoA via S.M. USA, started prepping for the pop diva's entry in 2005. With the help of their publishing agent Hayden Bell, BoA and chairman Lee teamed up with top music producers Bloodshy and Avant to work on "Eat You Up." Known for producing Britney Spears' "Toxic," which they co-wrote, the Swedish duo put their talent to work for BoA. They came out with a catchy chorus, a staccato electronic vibe and deep bass beats. In keeping with the current trend in the U.S. pop scene, the single veered away from BoA's standard R&B and hip-hop sound. To keep BoA's hip-hop flavor intact, choreographers for her American and Asian music videos infused dance moves with a few solo riffs.
Misha Gabriel, who worked with Justin Timberlake, choreographed the routine for her Korean music video. It was directed by Cha Eun-taek. Flii Stylz, known for his work with Chris Brown and Usher, choreographed her American music video. "In April, we filmed a music video in New York and in July we filmed one in Korea," said founder Lee. "So it is unusual, but there will be two music videos for the single." At the press conference, reporters caught a preview of both videos. The first, directed by Cha Eun-taek, bordered on generic, recalling Jennifer Lopez's hit "I'm Glad."
In keeping with the "Flashdance"-inspired video, Cha's version opens up in a stuffy audition room. BoA and her dancers break into the audition and blow the judges away with their dance moves. Diane Martel - the genius behind Ciara's powerful "Like a Boy" - directed the U.S. version, which, unfortunately, disappoints. Lacking the wit and humor of her recent work - N.E.R.D's "Everybody Nose (All The Girls Standing In The Line For the Bathroom" - Martel's "Eat You Up" relies on rapid cuts between beauty shots of BoA and shots of her dancing on a dusty, grey moonscape.
But there is still hope. BoA will be collaborating with rapper Flo Rida - who made it big with his single "Low" - on a remix of "Eat You Up," giving her a chance to put out yet another video. The press was also given a few sound bytes of another upcoming song, "Look Who's Talking." The addictive chorus boded well for the Asian pop princess. And with Project Manager Max Gousse - who worked with Beyonce, Jay-Z and Usher - backing her up, BoA has a strong chance of making it in the U.S. market.

In a recent press conference held by SM Entertainment today on September 2, officials stated that BoA will be releasing an album in the United States and enter the US music industry. In another press conference titled Best of Asia, Bring on America which will be held at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul, BoA's plans for the US market will be revealed.
The slogan Best of Asia, Bring on America, which is an acronym for "BoA," will be used to most effectively join the US music industry. SM will set up headquarters in the US to aid BoA in this process.
It has only been a few days since BoA's Live Tour 2008 - The Face has ended. For those who have enjoyed the concert in one of the many locations BoA performed at or those who were unable to attend the concert, BoA's Live Tour DVD is expected to release very soon! In an upcoming Hite Beer TV commercia in Korea, BoA will be featured with a chic 20 cm short haircut - a major contradiction to her long hair trademark. News reporters stated that this might be the most shocking image transformation since her debut. "We have never seen BoA with a shorter haircut than this one. At first, BoA was astonished with her new look but we were more surprised to see BoA transform into a mature and sexy lady," stated SM Entertainment. On April 1, 2008, BoA will establish a jewelry brand named "Ramee by BoA" with the help of her second brother, Kwon Soon Wook. The first store which will open at Lotte Department Store's Young Plaza will feature 20 accessories designed by BoA herself. The accessories, mainly silver, from the My Name, Girls on Top, and Anyband performances will be on display as well.
With the opening of the company "Ramee by BoA," she will be a CEO of a brand name, rather than a singer. Chief Merchandiser, Choi Yun Woo stated that although there are many stars with their own brandnames, BoA especially contributed significantly in the designing, manufacturing and advertising process. Lotte Department store stated that there are plans to open her stores in 25 stores across Korea.
BoA's brother stated that BoA wanted to study in a design/fashion school and has much interest in what kind of brands are successful and what type of marketing and design produce the best sales.
It seems BoA as well as many other Korean celebrities have had a long history of using Ramee jewelry. As you may see in the image above, she has worn Ramee accessories for some time. Gaining first place on the weekly Oricon charts, THE FACE marks BoA's sixth consecutive first place on the weekly album Oricon charts. Hamasaki Ayumi is the only artist to have surpassed this record, holding first place eight consecutive times. Just behind her is BoA who, despite being a Korean singer, set the record faster than most of her Japanese competitors. Starting in 2002, the albums LISTEN TO MY HEART , VALENTI , LOVE & HONESTY , 'OUTGROW, MADE IN TWENTY , and THE FACE have all gained first place positions on the charts consecutively. BoA's latest song "AGRRESSIVE" from her upcoming album "The Face" has been chosen to accompany the new tv advertisement which may be viewed above.
With BoA's latest album "The Face" up for reservations, it topped the HMV Album charts, surpassing Japan's top artists such as Hamasaki Ayumi and L'Arc en Ciel. The outlook for BoA's new album seems to be on a good start. Let's just hope this trend continues on!

Avex has recently released the cover and tracklist of BoA's latest single, 'be with you.,' (yes there is supposed to be a period at the end) which will be released on February 20th. The title song 'be with you' is the theme song of the Japanese film "10 Promises Between Me and My Dog (犬と私の10の約束),"directed by Motoki Katsuide. The second track titled 'precious' will be a ballad that will not be included in the "THE FACE" album which will be released on February 27th.

With the release of BoA's 6th Japanese Album, "The Face" just around the corner, the schedule for BoA's 2008 Arena Tour has been released. We are assuming that the tour will be titled "THE FACE Arena Tour 2008." BoA will be performing at a whooping 17 halls across Japan, many of which BoA has never performed in. The tour will start on May 8th and end at June 28th. This tour is expected to be the best tour BoA has ever performed! We just hope BoA doesn't overdo herself this time. The 38 member of SMTOWN have let out a helping hand to help the needy. 'WINTER SMTOWN 07' which was released on the 7th, was a grand hit. The title song, "Only Love," was a song devoted to implying that Christmas was a time of giving and helping but not everyone receive this help. SMTOWN stated that they would donate 5% of the profits to help the needy to bring smiles to those who do not see Christmas as a happy and fortunate time of year.
Plans for a music video for BoA's solo song "December 27th" have been released. SM announced that it would incorporate clips from the movie "My Love." Let's hope that these donations would bring more smiles in this holiday season.
BoA will be performing as a guest star at a club located in Cheongdamdong, Korea on December 22nd to commemorate the entrance of US based accessory company B.B. Simon into the Korean Market. It has been said that BoA's older brother, who is a music video director, has aided the launch of this company into the Korean market. Hollywood stars such as Madonna, Ciara, Carrie Underwood, and Aerosmith are known to actively use this brand's accessories. BoA will attend the launching party along with successful trance music and British DJ and producer. These words let slipped by BoA, who has been active as a front runner in the entertainment scene, were both shocking and surprising to the people around her. Debuting in 2001 when she was only merely 14 years old, she was still a young girl who held a childish and innocenet look to her. Yet in the years to come, she has successfully released hits like 'Listen to my heart', 'Valenti' and her albums have all managed to break the million sales mark. She has been in the entertainment showbiz for 7 years, and is now 21 years of age. Now, what prompted BoA who has transformed from a young teenager to a mature lady, to say those words?
"It was probably after the release of my compilation album (Best Of Soul), that I began to lose my aim in life. I guess in a way, it was having to work constantly with no breather in between each moment, that made me feel that way. From time to time, I will think back and reflect, whether I am being too contented with what I have now. Honestly, I always wonder what will happen to me if I were to give up singing one day, but because singing has been my life, the thought of it is enough to just jolt me back to my senses that I need to go on with singing. But I guess it is the fact that I hadn't have a break for so long that it is making me burnt out."
As BoA told us these, she secretly threw a glance to her colleagues(manager etc) at the side and gave them a small but bitter smile. Indeed, throughout these 7 years, she has been shuffling back and forth between Japan and Korea without rest in her schedules and has used up 4 passports in the midst of her travelling. Perhaps it's because she is so busy, that she cannot seem to find the motivation to drive her anymore. However, BoA has not lost her dreams all these while. It's a dream made she was 15 years old --That she wants go abroad to America to study 10 years later, when she is 25 years old.
"There's still 4 more years to when I am 25 years old. Maybe I will really go abroad to study then. I want to study English and also take up ballet, these are what I feel are important and essential to me. Besides, I can still do recordings even when I am studying."
Being an avid and inquisitive learner, BoA has mentioned during her teens years, that she would want to study Economics.
"Ah yes. But come to think of it, I would have been able to put in more time and effort then to study as compared to now."
It's not too late for BoA to study now though.
BoA's ability to express her views and understanding in what she does can be seen in her upcoming single 'Lose Your Mind', which is to be released in December. This is the first time she is collaborating with a rock band member, Doping Panda's Yukata Furukawa and the rock style coupled with BoA's amazing dancing skills just adds more passion to the song itself.

Avex recently reported that BoA will be singing a theme song for the Japanese movie, "10 Promises Between Me and My Dog (犬と私の10の約束)," directed by Motoki Katsuide. Although BoA had dubbed for animations and video games, this is the first attempt to sing the theme song of a movie in Japan.
It has been reported that BoA, who cannot spend much time with her poodle (Pama) due to her busy schedule, cried after reading the movie's script. The movie is a story between a dog and it's owner and ten promises they make together. (click the 2nd image for the 10 promises above) Titled "Be With You," the theme song will be a love ballad in which couples can make love promises of their own. "I hope this movie shows the importance of the relationship with dogs and their owners," stated BoA in an interview.
Planned to release in March 15, 2008, we hope that this movie will warm hearts just in time for spring!
Samsung released a total of two songs for their Anycall ad campaign. The tracks named, "TPL (Talk Play Love)" and "Promise You," is incorporated nicely into the story like music video (above). The campaign tries to imply that today's societies are becoming a world without love, fun, or happiness. We as citizens are merely slaves to society, going to work, eat, and sleep, without any time for leisure. Samsung's new logo, "Talk Play Love," tries to persuade people to have some leisure in their lives by talking, loving, and playing on their cell phones.

News on BoA becoming the new model of Samsung's cell phone company, Anycall has been confirmed. BoA's face, as well as Tablo of Epik High, Xiah of TVXQ, and Jin Bora a piano prodigy, have appeared on Anycall's official site. They included a Dday counter: hopefully the countdown until the joint commercial with the four stars is released into Korea's mass media. The commercial, which was shot in the streets of Brazil, will present a very vintage and modern feel: Samsung's next strategy into luring customers to their products.

Recently, BoA has participated in a collaboration with Japanese singer SEAMO in his 3rd album "Round About." Of the sixteen tracks, BoA took part on track four, "Hey Boy, Hey Girl (feat. BoA)." Her first performance with SEAMOtook place today on Music Station! There plans to be a music video for this song as BoA hinted in her interview during before her performance. Look forward to seeing this in the near future.

Korean online music store JukeOn held a poll on "the Artist with the Best Album Covers," since the 18th of October. BoA charged 1st place pulling in a whooping 38.46% of all votes. She received 882 out of 2293 votes, outrunning the hundreds of talented and beautiful Kpop artists. In second place came group Koyote with only 19.19% of votes. In third came Brown Eyed Souls with 15.44%.
BoA's popularity continues to soar despite inactivity in the Korean market. It seems her Japanese songs have a large impact on Koreans as well.

Today, October 18, BoA was awarded the "Young Contemporary Artist Award" at the Korean Culture Arts Award Ceremony held at The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts. This is a very special award, along with the the 14th Korea Entertainment Arts Award she received last week, accredited with merit for excelling in the arts to a global level. This award serves as a symbol of Young Contemporary Art of Korea, a very honorable position.
BoA Celebrates 7th Anniversary Debut Party in Korea
August 25, 2007 marked BoA's 7th Anniversary of her debut as a singer in Korea. To celebrate this, BoA invited a group of 50 people to attend her 7th anniversary party at Bennigans in downtown Seoul. After more than a month, SM released a short video capturing the main events of the party. Being a very rare experience for the fans, BoA made a toast, enjoyed lunch and a leisurely conversation with her fans. It was indeed a special experience.

This year marks the 14th Annual Korea Entertainment Masterpiece Award Ceremony. The award ceremony awards figures who excel in Korean arts, culture, and entertainment, usually to a global level. This year, singer BoA, and SM group TVXQ, were awarded the International Popularity Award. BoA, who is receiving much popularity in Japan, TXVQ spreading their name across Asia, will be awarded this prestigious title at the Award Ceremony which will be taking place on October 7th at the Gunpo Culture and Art Center.
After just a day of release, BoA's latest single「LOVE LETTER」hit 3rd place on the daily single Oricon charts in Japan! Considering this is a ballad single, Love Letter ranked higher than Merry Chri and Everlasting which ranked 5th and 3rd respectively. Winter Love, which ranked 2nd and JEWEL SONG 3rd, Love Letter is one of the best performing ballad singles yet! Let's hope BoA continues to hold her position!
In order to commemorate the release of BoA's new single「LOVE LETTER」, BoA sang her new title song in front of one hundred lucky couples at the Tokyo Dome yesterday on September 26th. Wearing a rather mature one-piece dress, BoA stated "I am happy to sing for you couples today. Please send love letters to everyone you love!" and sang a total of two songs.
BoA also declared that she loved to see the merry go round while shooting her music video last month. "I was very pleased that I could have a ride," she said.
"In the future when I have a lover, I want to send a love letter to him every time I leave the country" announced BoA in front of the couples. BoA also let out a small past time secret of herself, revealing that she received a love letter when she was in elementary school. It was certainly a performance filled with love and hopefully the couples would have come to love each other more than ever!

BoA, Tablo of Epik High, Xiah of TVXQ, and Jin Bora a piano prodigy are planned to come together to shoot a commercial for Samsung's cell phone company, Anycall. Earlier this month, these four artists started shooting this commercial at the heart of Brazil. Anycall, the 2nd largest cell phone company in the world has successfully advertised their phones in the past with Hyori and Eric as their model. Always striving to set the trend in Korea, the producers hope to make this yet another successful campaign. Although not sure all these models will participate, Anycall hopes to release these commercials some time this year or early next year.
Asia's star BoA will unfortunately spend another year in Japan during Korea's 2nd most important holiday: Chusok. This holiday, which was celebrated for hundreds of years to celebrate the year's harvest is an important family gathering for all Koreans. However, BoA has to spend another year in Japan due to a Love Letter performance.
"I tried to spend the holidays with my family this year but due to my busy schedule, I can't. I guess a phone call is the best I can do," said BoA in an internet interview. BoA stated that she will come to Korea in October after promoting her new single "Love Letter" in Japan. "I plan to spend some time with my family when I come back in October." Let's hope BoA isnt too lonely on this national holiday.

BoA's Made In Twenty 2007 Live Tour DVD which was released on August 8, 2007 has gained 3rd position on the weekly Oricon DVD charts! This means that BoA's DVD has sold the 3rd most among music DVDs sold in Japan this week! BoA's House would like to congratulate BoA for this achievement!

Instead of a new Korean album, an announcement for the release of a new Japanese single has been released. Named "Love Letter," the single will have two different covers like the Made In Twenty album had: CD and CD+DVD versions.
Being the second BoA song named Love Letter, it will encompass the transition from fall to winter. The other awaited songs which include Diamond Heart and Beautiful Flowers will be included in the single as well. The DVD will contain the Love Letter music video and will be released on September 19 this year.

According to a news report by Newsen, SM stated that all these news on BoA's filming are rumors. The previous news on BoA's drama Andate Allegro were all rumors as well. Posted on one of Korea's largest and most trustworthy news sites, JoongAng, it was hard for people not to believe. SM staff were surprised to hear such blasphemy when asked about the drama and said all claims were false. "We are trying to decide which direction BoA should go at the moment but have not made any decisions." stated SM officials. "We have nothing to say about BoA's future acting career."
BoA, being such an international star, rumors are plaguing even Korea's top news companies and future news on BoA's filming have become hard to believe.

Remember those yellow balloons I recieved during my 9 hour wait to see BoA? Yes. They are the Official Korean Fanclub's balloons, approved by SM to be used to cheer for BoA in Korean shows. During my wait, I hogged alot of balloons so I could give them to our dear BoA's House members. Finally the time has come.
BoA's House is hosting its first "Official Korean Fanclub Balloon Sweepstakes!" Korean pop star BoA has been chosen to sing the ending theme song for TV Asahi's long enjoyed mystery drama, "Toyo Wide Theatre." Titled "Smile Again," the song will be first broadcasted on July 14th's episode. The song which is a slow ballad song, will ultimately boost the climax's greatness, TV Asahi reported.
Celebrating its 30 year history, BoA will be the 7th singer to sing a theme song for this drama. Only the most renown Japanese singers such as Matsuda Seiko has sung for the drama in the past. Thus, it is a great honor that BoA has been chosen to sing for this drama.
"It is certainly an honor. This song touches upon how people, with increasingly busy and stressful lives, unknowingly lose the reason and urge to smile. Thus, in composing this song myself, I wanted to shed light upon how people should try to smile, although it may be by forcing oneself, and regain our long lost happiness," BoA commented in a recent interview.

Today, BoA performed on a Korean music show for the first time in two years. SM announced that there would also be a mini fanmeeting after the show. Thus, I, the administrator of BoA's House decided to go meet her. Waking up at 8:30 in the morning, I left to the KBS broadcasting network in Yeoido, Seoul. Only a total of 100 people were allowed in with the Official Korean BoA Fanclub, JumpingBoA, as seats were very limited. I arrived at 9:20 AM, about.. 9 hours before the show actually started. (The show starts at 5:50 PM). Already, there were about 40 people there waiting to get their number. Unfortunately, I did not know we had to "register" to get in the 100 list beforehand. However, since I was a member of the JumpingBoA Official Fanclub, I got first prioriety after the ones who did register, giving me a number of 2-1 and also a number of 59 for BoA's mini fanmeeting after the show.

50 Harvard MBA students who are highly respected in the business world, will come to Korea June 1 to hear a lecture provided by BoA's producer, Lee Soo Man on June 5. Due to the positive comments recieved by the first year MBA students that visited last year, the university administration decided to allow a revisit to hear Mr. Lee's lecture on SM's sucess and its effects on the Korean wave. Mr. Lee stated that he wanted to give interest and also shed light on these future leaders in the business world to the Korean culture and powerful influence in Asia.
He will lecture on SM's know-hows in conquering the Asian music market from early popular SM artists such as H.O.T. and S.E.S. to currently sucessful BoA and TVXQ. BoA, Kang Ta, and Super Junior's Han Kyung will participate again, similar to last year's lecture and will perform some songs for them. BoA will participate in the answering of the student's questions as well. The Harvard students will tour around Korea's most sucessful companies such as Samsung and learn how they came to suceed in the exceedingly competitive global market during their stay in Korea.

BoA's Ads Top Consumer Confidence and Purchasing Influence in Korea
A survey was conducted by Korean brand specializing site, Brand38.com and marked the top five on many different aspects of Korean ads such as brand image. Among the four lists, BoA was included in two of them.
BoA made the rankings of the "Consumer Confidence" department, in which consumers feel comfortable and trusts the brand name due to its ads. Falling short to Moon Guen Young's GS Kaltex commercials recieving a score of 8.5/10, BoA's KB Card came in second place with an amazing score of 8.36/10.
BoA was also included in the "Purchasing Influence" department, in which consumers are compelled to purchase or use a company's product/service due to celebrity endorsement. Just .02 points behind Wonbin's Baskin Robbins and Lee Na Young's Natur ice cream, BoA's Seoul Milk commercials came in fourth place with a highly competitive score of 8.35/10. BoA continues to have a lasting impact on the Korean advertising industry, proving her worth as a world star once again.
BoA, who is now considered an adult, has been chosen to be the last singer to star on Mnet's special show "21 Century Artist." This program's main focus is to reveal stars' story in becoming an adult and their views upon entering the adult society.
"I was very lonely when I first went to Japan. I didn’t have friends or family to be with me. The first Japanese word I learned there was '淚' or tears," stated BoA as she expressed her lonely life in Japan. BoA stated that she has started to express her true feelings and emotions of pain through her ballads such as Winter Love after becoming an adult. This is something she has come to cherish as she could indirectly express and let out her pains and sufferings to her loving fans.
When asked if BoA was considering on going to university, BoA stated that she did not have any plans any time soon. "Many people attend school to be an active member of society. However, I feel that a good education is not very important for my job. Rather, the effort and passion is something I can really show to my fans. Although I missed out on the norm of school education, I have experienced being out in society: something not many people experience at such a young age. Thus, I have no regrets. Furthermore, since I am so busy, I would be a 'ghost student,' not being able to attend most of the time. It’s useless to attend when I’ll miss out most of the time because I won’t learn anything. Thus, I am planning to attend university when time permits in the future to carry out my studies." BoA declared in her interview.
BoA ended the interview by stating, "I feel that all of Korea's citizens are watching my progress as a singer. I don't want to tell them to view me in a specific way but I hope that those that do look over me know that I am always trying my best."

Korean TV Channel, MBC, hosted a concert named "I Love Korea," for the Korean American community in California last saturday. Bringing a crowd of more than 20,000 people from all over the nation, the concert included Korea's top singers including BoA, Epik High, Super Junior, Seo Ji Young, Eru, Ivy, totaling 16 stars. BoA performed a total of four songs including Girls on Top, No.1, Valenti, Moto. BoA, the last singer to perform, pulled an amazing live performance for the first three songs while ending the concert with the powerful dance of Moto.
The Annual Korean Music Festival, which started in 2003 to promote Korean culture in the United States, marked it's 5th anniversary this year. For those who missed it this year, don't miss it next year!

Female models with toned bodies are filling the screens today as the competition heats up. It's not about the slim body anymore but the muscle that is bringing the attention today in Korea. From toned models such as Hyun Young, to Ok Ju Hyun, female models with toned bodies are gaining much popularity today and BoA is not an exception. BoA, always showing off her toned and slim body, stated that she does weight training three to four times a week, two hours each. As toned bodies are hard to maintain, BoA exercises regularly to keep up with the trend.

BoA's producer Soo Man Lee of SM Entertainment reported yesterday that BoA has been recieving constant requests to perform in Korean musicals. Korean Musical Company, PMC Productions stated that they wanted to bring the sucessful Korean musical "대장금" or "Dae Jang Geum," into the Japanese market. They believe that the musical will gain much more attention with the aid of BoA's popularity and talent. Mr. Soo Man Lee has much to consider as he is getting requests from the movie, drama, as well as the musical industry for BoA's presence. Which will Mr. Soo Man Lee choose? We will just have to wait to see.
BoA has done it once again. Hitting 5th place on the Oricon Daily Single Chart, BoA is continuing her history of ranking at least 10th place on the charts everytime a single was released. BoA ranked on a rather high rank considering the other very competitive singles out at the moment. Kinki Kids released a single celebrating their 10th anniversary ultimately ranking 1st place. Beating the extreme competition, BoA has proven her popularity in Japan once again.
BoA has finally finished her one month long MADE IN TWENTY Live Tour, touring four cities with seven great concerts, finally completing her last concert at the Nagoya Gaishi Hall. Bringing a total of 6,500 audience members to her last concert, BoA sucessfully sang 21 songs changing outfits 6 times and wigs 5 times throughout the concert. News casters reported that BoA captured the heart of the audience with her 'Candle Lights' performance which was sung on top of a 8 meter tall tower inside the stadium. It was reported that she really let out all she had with a developed voice and femine yet reserved outfit which further defined her mature image.
At an interview, BoA revealed that she wanted to sing more feminine and mature songs from now on as she reached the age of twenty. She also claimed the desire to have a love relationship some time in the future. BoA will return to Korea in May to start planning for her 6th Korean album.

BoA to participate in "I Love Korea" Concert in Hollywood Bowl
Korean TV Channel, MBC, is celebrating its entrance into the US market. Home to the famous music show, "Music Camp," in which BoA performed several songs, MBC will be having a concert to commemorate their entrance. Named "I Love Korea," the concert will invite Korea's top singers including BoA, Epik High, Super Junior, Seo Ji Young, Eru, Ivy, totaling 16 stars. Brian Joo of Fly to the Sky and Eugene will be the MCs due to their native English skills. Korean American ski athlete Toby Dawson, winner of the bronze medal for the ski freestyle race in the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, will be participating as well as he became a Korean national hero after this great feat. MBC announced that BoA is planning on revealing and performing a song from her 6th Korean album. A worldwide tatoo design company, Ed Hardy, has reported that they have designed a cap just for BoA. BoA has worn Ed Hardy caps in the past including some Moto performances as well as 2004 studio takes. Ed Hardy, which incorporates mainly skulls and as well as Asian aesthetics, has said to have designed a cap with a purple front and a gray back.
There has never been a cap of this design released in Japan before, and it will be given to BoA as a present with at no cost. Ed Hardy has gained it's popularity by endorsing them through celebrities such as Britney Spears, as well as many Korean celebrities. BoA is planning to wear this cap during a performance in her currently ongoing concert, 'MADE IN TWENTY 2007 Live Tour."

BoA has been chosen to be the new model of Korean Music Channel, KM. KM, which has been the mainstream music channel for the last ten years, has chosen BoA to be their new model in order to transform their image into a more modern image. While changing their slogan to "Original Music Channel," BoA will act as the support in this new transformation to compete with other competing music channels. Look forward to seeing BoA frequently on Korean music TV.
Asia's star BoA is currently in a dilemma. BoA isn't sure if she should make a comeback to the Korean market with an entrance to the acting industry or release BoA's 6th Korean album. BoA, who announced of her entrance to the acting industry since 2005, is having a hard time choosing which production to choose due to many singers failing in the acting industry, such as Hyori. Furthermore, BoA hasnt released the long awaited Korean album last year which kept her Korean fans waiting.
SM has refused many offers in the past such as a part in the Hallyu drama "Goong," a Hollywood staffed Hong Kong movie starring Yao Ming called "Jump," and many more. SM reported that BoA had a high possibility that she would debut to the acting industry through either a Korean or American film. However, if SM felt that BoA lacked skill and experience, she would comeback with her 6th album first.
SM stated that they would decide if BoA would act or not by late March or early April. If they do not decide till then, BoA will release her 6th Korean album in June this year. Let's just hope SM makes the best choice for BoA.
MTV Korea created a documentary on Asia's star BoA's leading fashion sense. Named "Girls on Top," MTV Interviews BoA as well as her stylists, BoA's style has become renown for it's chik fashion sense. BoA stated that she doesnt try to follow the fashion trend but rather wears what she likes. She also stated that she loved black and white clothes the most, or clothes without much color. BoA's stylists commented that BoA knows her style and what suits her best, and always picks out the perfect outfit for her in a few tries.

BoA's 22nd Japanese Single's name has been released. Named "SWEET IMPACT," it will be released on April 25th. The title song "SWEET IMPACT" is the CM song for the latest Fasio commercial. Most likely, the single will contain four to five tracks (including instrumentals) and will contain a "special" track for the 1st Print Limited Edition just like MADE IN TWENTY contained the Winter Love Live track in their limited edition. The single will come in CD and CD + DVD versions. The DVD will contain the SWEET IMPACT music video.

The Hallyu Expo which is an annual event which promotes and awards the people who ride and continue the "Hallyu Wave" or "Korean Wave," will be hosting BoA's 1st Concert in Korea in the name of "Made in BoA." The concert will take place in the Jeju ICC Tamra Hall on February 24, 2007. Only BoA will be performing in this concert, most likely with only Korean songs. Ticket prices are fairly low at about 22,000 won ($25) and can be purchased here. We look forward to the broadcast on TV or a release on DVD.

Korean pop singer BoA, who has captured the hearts of fans across the world with her dance and music is planning to reveal yet a new side of BoA to her fans. SM Entertainment announced that BoA is planning on entering the Korean drama arena this year and are trying to decide which drama will best suit BoA and be a good starting role in the acting business. Although SM has not made any official decisions or future planning for this, they are very determined to put BoA in the Korean drama market, but also being careful not to make a mistake and take an unsuitable role, as many other Korean artists have done in the past. We hope to see BoA on TV every week sometime this year.
BoA's New Tastebuds: Start with Beer and End with Soju
BoA, who has recently reached the minimum age to legally drink in Korea and Japan has stated that she drinks on the Japanese show "Nanai-Size" in response to the question "Now that your twenty, do you drink alcohol?" She stated that she drank moderately and enjoys starting with beer and ending with the most loved alchohol drink in Korea: Soju, specifically "Cham Ee Sul" or "참이슬". BoA also stated that her ideal boyfriend would be of tall stature because she is somewhat short. Let's just hope BoA doesnt enjoy soju too much.

Singer Koda Kumi, who released her album "Black Cherry" on January 4, held the No.1 spot on the charts for a whooping three weeks. For three weeks, no singer in Japan could take her off the No.1 spot. On the 17th of Janauary, this all changed. BoA's latest album, MADE IN TWENTY(20), which was released on the 17th, topped the Weekly Oricon Charts and held her spot at No.1 for one whole week. The three week No.1 parade was abruptly cut off by our beloved BoA and has held the No.1 spot for a whole week. Koda Kumi, who was on the No.1 spot, sold a total of 57,804 albums, 20,000 more than the second place holder. But now with BoA at the No.1 spot, there is a high chance that she will beat the unbeatable Koda Kumi. As a foreign singer in the large Japanese Music market, BoA is proving her popularity once again. Let's just hope that she holds this spot for weeks to come.
Upon rising to the No.1 spot on the Oricon Charts for the 5th time with her five albums, BoA has been named the second best singer of Japan in respect to sales. Beating Japan's top singers who have set the record of topping charts four times such as Amuro Namie and Utada Hikaru, BoA has been named the second best singer of Japan. This is indeed a honor considering the fact that BoA is a foreign singer in the Japanese market. Just behind Japan's top singers, Kinki Kids, Hamasaki Ayumi, and Hikaru Kenzi, BoA is not far from beating them as well. With the continued support from her fans, this is a feat not far from being accomplished.

BoA's 5th Japanese Album: Made in Twenty; Tracklist + 2007 SMTOWN Winter Vacation Tracklist
BoA's 5th Japanese album, Made in Twenty, is planned to release on January 17, 2007. Of the two covers, the first will be the CD + DVD and the second, the CD version of the album, respectively. The titles of the new tracks featured in Made in Twenty have been released by BoA's SOUL fanclub. There will be a CD and CD + DVD version which will cost 3,059 and 3,990 Yen respectively. The remaining songs consist of songs from her 2006 singles including Winter Love, Key of Heart, Nanairo No Ashita, and Everlasting.
The CD and the CD +DVD version will include 3) A prioriety reservation ticket enclosure for the 2007 Live Tour 4) and a special BoA postcard
This album, which commemorates the coming of age into a new "20's" life as a singer, is bound to be a special album for BoA.

BoA, who has recently finished her 2006 "BoA The Live" Live Tour, has just released plans for her 2007 Live Tour! BoA's 2007 Live Tour will begin on March 31, 2007 starting at Yokohama. BoA will tour around Japan promoting her latest Japanese album which will be released on January 17, 2007.
After almost three weeks of release, BoA's Winter Love single is still holding its position on the Oricon's top ten singles chart. Holding 8th place as of November 24, BoA has captured the hearts of the Japanese people with Winter Love as well as with LAST CHRISTMAS. With the Japanese music industry going through a "remake" wave, where several singers and groups are gaining much popularity through remakes of old songs, Last Christmas isn't an exception.
As 2006 nears the new year, award ceremonies and ranking charts are pouring out on the net. Yahoo! Korea has released a ranking for the most searched "singer" names on Yahoo! Korea during the year 2006. Holding first place was 13 guy group, Super Junior. Lee Hyori and TVXQ were second and third place, respectively. On 7th was our beloved BoA. Asia's star BoA is at it again! BoA has sung a song called "Sunshine" which will be the ending song for Moon Guen Young's latest movie, "SarangTawon Pilryo UpSuh" in other words, "I Don't Need Love". The film is of course, like all Korean movies, about a passionate relationship in which an evil man fakes a relationship to obtain 2.8 million dollars from multi-millionaire, Moon Geun Young but eventually falls in deep love. "I am very glad to sing the ending song for such a romantic and passionate movie and being able to participate in a movie with such great actors/actresses," BoA stated at an interview. The movie will be in Korean theatres on November 9, 2006!

BoA, who is currently touring about Japan carrying out her 2006 "BoA The Live" Live Tour, has planned yet another tour on December 7. Called the “Winter Love”X＇mas Live, BoA will sing several Christmas songs such as Winter Love, one a one day special concert. October is Breast Cancer Recognition Month in Korea, and Korean Fashion Magazine "W Magazine" are celebrating this month with 23 Korean stars which included stars such as TVXQ and Hyori. In order to increase the Breast cancer education, which is fairly low in such a developed country such as Korea, W Magazine has taken action to educate Korean women about the causes and effects of breast cancer. W Magazine will be selling t-shirts with the real handprints of The 23 Korean stars, including BoA, stamped on the front of the t-shirt. W Magazine stated that the money raised will be donated to the Korean Breast Cancer Association. Despite the busy schedule, BoA recognized the importance of this problem, and decided to participate in the campaign.
The KEY OF HEART Korean MV full version is finally out. A total of 6 minutes long, BoA and Super Junior member, Dong Hae, make a cute couple. With the release of the "Boom Boom" dance last friday, BoA captured the attention of Koreans on their nine day holiday, Chusuk. Asia's Dance King, Rain, who modeled jointly for KB card, heated up the competition. BoA, who came out in a tight red top and the smallest set of jeans people ever saw, the shake of BoA's butt and hips won over the dance king Rain. KB Card revealed that BoA had made up the boom boom dance herself which increased popularity and respect among Koreans. In addition BoA's flexible and rippling back muscles also recieved much praise.
