| BoA Releases "Only One" Album and MV! |
After a two year hiatus, BoA is finally back with her new Korean album 'Only One'! The album as a whole displays BoA as a matured singer without frills. The album cover, displayed above sports a natural side shot of BoA in black and white. Compared to her previous albums like Hurricane Venus and other K-Pop idol albums which seek to catch attention with lavish decorations, thick makeup, and futuristic clothing, BoA's 'Only One' album challenges the norm with simplicity and gracefulness.
The music video for 'Only One' comes in two versions - a dance and drama. In the dance version, Boa wears a beige shirt with a peace sign and shows off her moves with six male dancers. Halfway through, BoA effortlessly dances with a black male dancer in the spotlight in perfect coordination. Unlike other K-Pop dances which more or less try to have a catchy signature move, it's clear that BoA put a lot of thought into the dance moves in relation to the lyrics of the song.
In the drama version, BoA stars in a drama like music video. She walks into a large cafe, where she meets the guy who she loves - or used to love. It shows how the love they used to share in the past has faded away. The conversations stop, and smiles and laughter no longer exist. She contemplates and tries to find out where it went wrong and how her 'Only One' love came all the way to this all time low. Although it will hurt a lot, and it's hard to forget, she walks away for his sake.

Today, August 25th, 2011, marks BoA's 11th anniversary since her debut in August 25, 2000 with her first performance on SBS Inkigayo with ID; Peace B. With years of training, BoA was the youngest singer of her kind to debut in Korea. Many claimed she would fail due to her young age but she was able to defy the odds and achieve world acclaimed stardom.
BoA worked with the world's top stars like Akon, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, and more. She advertised for Nike, Maybelline New York, Lipton, Honda, Samsung, Toshiba, and more! Making first place with all her Japanese albums on the Oricon chart, BoA is an artist of setting standards.
Now she is at the forefront of the world entertainment industry - recognized by everyone around the world.
Congratulations BoA, from the bottom of our hearts. You have worked hard and gave it your personal best and all your fans are still here cheering for you. You are a miracle, and always our No.1! Happy 11th Anniversary BoA!
